Who is the UHI Golfing Society?

The Golfing Society headquarters is based at the North Highland College campus in Dornoch. This is the venue for a Golf Management Degree course.

The Golfing Society was established during the College's first year, but over time organisation has improved. This year the Society has approximately 30 members, with handicaps ranging from 15 all the way down to +3.

Season 2006/2007 has the UHI taking part in a full fixture list, including the Scottish University Winter League, SUS Order of Merit and internal UHI events. A full fixture list can be seen in the Competitions section.

In November 2006, the UHI Golf Team took the Winter League Title for the first time ever,  in commanding style.

The society is governed by the students, with input and supervision from staff members.

Some important names this year:

Rob McPherson- Course Leader.

Alan Flemming- Golf Team coach and the Society's Top Man.

Greg McBain- Golf Team Captain.

James Warwick- Golf Team Vice-Captain.
